Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine explored the efficacy of botulinum toxin therapy in the treatment of cutaneous flushing. The researchers conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of nine studies, including 132 patients. The results showed that botulinum toxin significantly improved clinical flushing scores one month after treatment. This research suggests that botulinum toxin may be a viable therapeutic option for individuals experiencing flushing. Further information on this study can be found in the journal article "Efficacy of Botulinum Toxin in the Treatment of Cutaneous Flushing: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis."
