Abstract

The article discusses the group-factor hypotheses and tests involved in the study called the "Four Ability-Factor Hypotheses at Three Preliterate Levels in Normal and Retarded Children." The study has made a similar four factor hypotheses for the six-, four-, and two-year groups. The group-factor hypotheses include hand-eye psychomotor, perceptual speed, linguistic ability, and figural reasoning. The test items used for the six-year level had been adapted for that level and included some paper-pencil materials.
