Abstract

Researchers at Ruhr-University Bochum in Germany conducted a study to evaluate patient comfort during magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations. The study compared a low field MRI scanner with a standard MRI scanner and assessed differences in patient comfort. The low field MRI scanner offered more space and produced less noise, potentially influencing patient comfort. The study surveyed 177 patients who underwent MRI scans with either the low field MRI scanner or the standard MRI scanner. The research was supported by Philips Healthcare.
