Abstract
- A recent report discusses research findings on sustainable food systems, specifically focusing on the differences in enteric methane emissions across four dairy production systems in an urbanizing area of Bengaluru, India. The study examined 28 dairy farms and found that the intensity of methane emissions was closely related to the intensification strategies chosen by dairy producers based on locally available resources. The results highlight the importance of region- and system-specific environmental assessments of production systems in low- and middle-income countries.
