TOPICAL THEORETICAL QUESTIONS OF GEOMORPHOLOGICAL AND MORPHOTECTONIC RESEARCHES.

The monograph contains the results of theoretical researches aimed to introduce clarity into basic concepts and the solving a number of fundamental problems of geomorphology and morphotectonics. From new positions, the definition of an element of the geomorphological system organization is given, the phenomena of convergence and homology are considered, the application of Curie, Le Chatelier - Brown and the minimization of energy costs principles is substantiated for the analysis of morphogenesis processes, the original formulations of the laws of geomorphology are given, etc. The sphere of morphogenesis is considered as the main object of research, which makes it possible to assess the relief forms and geological structures in their unity as three-dimensional formations. The proposed methodology and integrated approach to the analysis and synthesis of geomorphological, geological, geophysical data and materials of remote sensing from space open up the possibility of geomorphological verification of existing models of tectogenesis and the solving a number of metallogeny problems, creating a general basis for the wider use of data on relief in other Earth sciences.
