Abstract
- Researchers at Hokuto Hospital in Hokkaido, Japan have conducted a study to evaluate the potential usefulness of a coronal view obtained with an automated breast ultrasound system (ABUS) in detecting breast lesions. The study included 114 ABUS cases and involved ten physicians interpreting the coronal and transverse views independently. The researchers found that the coronal view was associated with significantly shorter reading times compared to the transverse view, while maintaining breast lesion detection accuracy. This study provides new insights into breast cancer screening and the potential benefits of using ABUS in combination with screening mammography. [Extracted from the article]
