Abstract

A recent report from Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University discusses the competitiveness of governing structures in Bulgarian farming. The study emphasizes the importance of considering economic, financial, and governance efficiency when assessing farm competitiveness. The research found that cooperatives were the most competitive, followed by corporations and associations, sole traders, and physical persons. However, many farms in Bulgaria have low competitiveness, and without improvements in management and support, they may cease to exist in the future. The study suggests that the assessment framework used should be further developed and applied more widely. [Extracted from the article]
