AVIAN DIVERSITY OF COMMUNITY RESERVES OF FATEHABAD, HARYANA.

Abstract
- An avian biodiversity survey of two recently notified community reserves and adjoining villages of Fatehabad district (Haryana) was conducted from June 2021 to April 2023. The major population in these villages belongs to the Bishnoi Community, which is dedicated towards nature conservation. A total of 132 spices belonging to 93 genera and 43 families are observed. Among these, 1 species is found to be under the IUCN Endangered category, 2 are Vulnerable and 8 are Near Threatened. Further 46 species are migratory and the rest 86 are found to be resident. Passeriformes (46 species) was the most dominant order followed by Anseriformes and Charadriiformes (13 species each). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
