Abstract

The article discusses a research study published in Angewandte Chemie International Edition that explores new methods to enhance the activity of iron phthalocyanine (FePc) in the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) through electron transport phenomena in chiro-self-assembled FePc nanostructures. The study combines the principles of electrocatalysis and molecular electronics to increase the ORR performance, specifically by utilizing the chiral-induced spin selectivity effect. The findings of this study provide valuable insights for designing more efficient electrocatalytic devices. The article also briefly mentions other research articles on topics such as mass spectrometry, phosphorescent materials, single-atom catalysis, and photopatterning. [Extracted from the article]
