Abstract
- For high energy supercapacitor, highly porous materials with accessible active sites are needed. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are trending highly porous materials. Cobalt is one of the electrochemically active materials. In this work, Co-MOF is successfully synthesized using temperature-assisted co-precipitation method. Its crystal structure and functional groups are investigated using X-ray diffractometer and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, respectively. Electrochemical energy storage properties of Co-MOF are investigated. Co-MOF synthesized at 150 ˚C exhibits highest specific capacity (374 C g<superscript>−1</superscript>) compared to other temperatures synthesized samples. It retains 82.7% of its initial specific capacity after 5000 charge-discharge cycles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
