Abstract
- This document is an editorial from the International Journal of Molecular Sciences titled "Molecular Research on Heart Protection." It discusses recent advancements in molecular research on heart protection and their potential impact on diagnosing and treating heart injuries and disorders. The editorial presents original research papers and reviews that explore molecular mechanisms and therapeutic opportunities for heart protection. The studies mentioned in the editorial include investigations on chronic anthracycline-induced cardiomyopathy, genetically modified mesenchymal stem cells for cardiac tissue restoration, the effects of sEVs on cell proliferation and angiogenesis, the role of Nr1d1 in cellular senescence and cardiac aging, the effects of MSC injection on post-infarction arrhythmia, the association between obesity, exercise, and cardiovascular problems, modRNA-based therapy for myocardial infarction, and the protective effect of young blood on mammalian organs. The editorial concludes by emphasizing the importance of integrating emerging molecular events with known networks to improve cardiac function and advance diagnostic and treatment strategies.
