Abstract: Manganese(II) and cobalt(III) complexes [Mn(HL)Cl<subscript>2</subscript>] (1) and [Co(L)<subscript>2</subscript>]Cl (2) with 2-amino-N'-(pyridin-2-ylmethylene)benzhydrazide (HL) were synthesized. Complexes 1 and 2 contain a neutral acylhydrazone molecule (1) or two acylhydrazones in the anionic form (2) in the coordination sphere of the metal centers.
