Abstract
- A recent study conducted by the Xinjiang Oilfield Company in China focused on improving oil recovery in the Lucaogou shale oil reservoir. The study involved laboratory experiments to investigate the effectiveness of different methods, such as CO2 huff-n-puff and surfactant imbibition, in increasing oil recovery. The results showed that CO2 huff-n-puff had the highest oil recovery rate, followed by surfactant imbibition. The study concluded that surfactant imbibition after CO2 huff-n-puff could be a viable method for improving oil recovery in the Lucaogou shale oil reservoir. This research provides valuable guidance and theoretical support for shale oil development in the region. [Extracted from the article]
