Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Castilla La Mancha explores the adoption of DevOps practices in global software engineering. The study found that the software industry is increasingly embracing the DevOps paradigm, particularly in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need for remote work. The researchers analyzed 27 papers and concluded that implementing certain DevOps practices can bring several advantages to software companies in distributed and global settings, although there are challenges to be overcome. The study also proposes a definition of DevOps in these contexts and maps the associated challenges and benefits. This research has been peer-reviewed and provides valuable insights for software engineering professionals. [Extracted from the article]
