Orbis International, an eye care nonprofit, has been awarded the 2023 Amazon Web Services (AWS) IMAGINE Grant for using technology to address eye diseases. The grant will support Orbis's efforts to deploy artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted technology in low-resource areas to screen for diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma, two eye diseases that can cause irreversible blindness.
