Abstract

A recent study conducted by the University of Extremadura in Caceres, Spain, focused on the translation and validation of the Canadian Physical Literacy Assessment 2 (CAPL-2) questionnaires into Portuguese. The study aimed to assess the psychometric properties of the Portuguese version of the questionnaires in children aged 8-12 years. The results showed that the translated and adapted questionnaires demonstrated validity and reliability, making them suitable for assessing physical literacy in this age group. This study provides a valuable resource for assessing physical literacy in Portuguese-speaking children and contributes to efforts to decrease sedentary lifestyles and physical inactivity in this population.
