Abstract

Researchers from Shenzhen University in China have developed a terahertz (THz) meta-polarizer that can simultaneously control the amplitude, phase, and polarization of THz waves. This advancement has significant potential for applications in 6G wireless communications, non-destructive testing, and biomedicine. The meta-polarizer functions by using rectangular metallic holes to control the polarization of the THz waves, allowing for precise manipulation of the transmitted wave's amplitude and phase. The researchers successfully designed meta-polarizers that can achieve two- and four-level amplitude holograms, demonstrating the practicality of their approach. This development has implications for wireless communications, radar detection systems, and holography. [Extracted from the article]
