Abstract

Mental illness is a growing public health problem worldwide. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic in early 2020 worldwide exacerbated this mental health problem. The occurrence of the COVID-19 pandemic had a major impact on mental health care and became a turning point for maximizing the use of technology and the internet in the health sector (e-health). The application of good technology will provide short-term and long-term solutions to people's mental health problems. This research aims to design and realize a chatbot model on a mental health consulting information system by applying natural language processing to educate and treat mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, and stress, using the react native framework. This system is based on an expert system algorithm utilizing the forward chaining method. The research results, chatbot model on the mental health consulting information system with the method applied has an optimal level of accuracy, namely the accuracy of the main model formed by 0.98 or 98%, with 92 iterations and an optimal execution time 0.016 seconds.
