Abstract

The Copenhagen Infant Health Nurse Records (CIHNR) cohort is a population-based cohort study in Denmark that collected data on 92,902 infants born in Copenhagen from 1959 to 1967. The study aimed to investigate the influence of early life circumstances on health and socioeconomic outcomes. Infant health nurses visited the homes of the infants to provide guidance on nutrition and wellbeing, recording information on parents, child's health, feeding, and home environment. The cohort has been followed up through linkages with national registers on vital statistics, health, and socioeconomic circumstances. The CIHNR database contains comprehensive information on parents, home, pregnancy, birth, infant development, nutrition, and health care use. The data has been transcribed and will be further analyzed using machine learning methods. The study offers valuable insights into the impact of social, pregnancy, and birth-related factors on health and socioeconomic outcomes throughout life. The data resource is available for collaboration and further research. [Extracted from the article]
