Abstract
- A recent report from the Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center in China discusses the use of cell transplantation therapy for traumatic spinal cord injuries (TSCI). The researchers conducted a bibliometric analysis of 284 papers published between 2013 and 2023, finding that the number of articles published has remained relatively stable while the number of citations has increased. Mainland China and the United States are leading countries in this field, with the University of Toronto being a prolific institution. The study identifies current research hotspots, such as marrow stromal cells and glial progenitor, and suggests potential future research directions, including nerve regeneration and the safety of transplantation. The findings contribute to the understanding of cell transplantation for TSCI and may guide further scientific research in this area. [Extracted from the article]
