Abstract

This article explores the impact of pre-tensioning force on the behavior of Buckling Restrained Brace (BRB) supported by a double pre-tensioning system. The study uses Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to investigate different configurations and pre-tensioning force values on traditional all-steel BRB members. The research aims to enhance rectangular BRBs with pre-tensioning systems and examines the impact of different parameters on their behavior. The findings of the study can contribute to the development and improvement of BRBs in seismic protection and structural engineering. [Extracted from the article]
