Abstract
- A literary criticism of Ralph Ellison's novel "Three Days Before the Shooting..." is presented. Topics discussed include Ellison's conception of art as the essence of humanity & extending beyond traditional aesthetic practice; his ambivalence toward the politicization of art; the intertwining of aesthetics and politics; and the critical assessment of modern aesthetics, particularly in the context of cinema's impact on society.
