Abstract

A recent study conducted at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, United Kingdom, focused on the complications of a pseudoaneurysm in the right hepatic artery. The researchers reported a case of a 48-year-old man with a history of alcohol excess who presented with jaundice. Imaging revealed a pseudoaneurysm in the accessory right hepatic artery, which was causing compression on the common bile duct. The successful management of this case involved excluding the pseudoaneurysm with a stent graft and alleviating the biliary obstruction. The study highlights the importance of comprehensive assessment in complex presentations, such as jaundiced alcoholic patients, to evaluate the possibility of pseudoaneurysms.
