Abstract

A report from Shaanxi University of Science & Technology discusses a new calibration method for the Robot-Assisted Percutaneous Puncture (RAPP) system, which is used in robotic surgery. The study proposes a method that combines hand-eye calibration and robot kinematic parameters calibration to enhance the precision and success rate of surgeries using the RAPP system. The researchers conducted numerical simulations and puncture experiments to compare the proposed method with other methods, and found that it significantly improved the puncture accuracy of the RAPP system. Overall, this calibration method contributes to the precision, operational capability, and safety of the RAPP system in practical applications. [Extracted from the article]
