Abstract
- A recent study conducted in Odisha, India, explored the use of vesicular lipid nanocarriers (LNs) to deliver the antiviral drug sofosbuvir to the rat brain as a potential treatment for viral meningitis. The researchers utilized an optimized formulation and process to create sofosbuvir-loaded LNs (SLNs) and conducted various in vitro characterizations to assess their properties. The SLNs showed promising results, including sustained drug release and improved pharmacokinetic parameters compared to the free drug. Further in vivo studies are needed to determine the clinical potential of these optimized SLNs. [Extracted from the article]
