Abstract

A recent report from the Medical University of Lublin discusses the ethical dilemmas faced by midwives and nurses in patient care. The study aimed to analyze the scientific literature on the moral sensitivity of these healthcare professionals and identify the determinants that influence it. The analysis of 15 articles revealed that moral sensitivity is correlated with sociodemographic variables such as age, education, job seniority, and the hospital's ethical climate and decision-making. The researchers emphasize the importance of shaping nurses' and midwives' moral sensitivity during their education. The full report can be accessed through the journal "Pielegniarstwo XXI wieku / Nursing in the 21st Century." [Extracted from the article]
