Performance study on draft tube in Kaplan turbine.

An improvement of design in the draft tube and its performance employed in reaction turbines is studied. The elbow draught tube was measured during that work with the aid of CFD, DoE, and surrogate models. The system confirms the form of draft tube square measurement used in function parameters whereas the pressure rebuild resolves and therefore the loss of head square measurement of the product obtained from this study.
