Abstract
- The paper deals with the determination of the rotational stiffness of a timber semi-rigid joint. The rotational stiffness was calculated on the basis of the currently valid standard, experimental test and numerical model. The connection was made of a standard combination of bolts and dowels, which consisted of 10 pieces of fasteners with a diameter of 8 mm. The elements of the connection consisted of facades and two struts with a cross-section of 100x300 mm. The connection was then statically repeatedly loaded and relieved. The loading took place up to the level of the ultimate limit state and the unloading up to 10% of the maximum value. In order to determine the actual mechanical properties of timber and fasteners, partial tests were performed for the needs of numerical modelling. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
