Abstract
- Researchers from the SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Tamil Nadu, India have conducted a study on green synthesis, specifically the use of green nanoparticles as larvicides to control mosquito populations. The nanoparticles are synthesized using natural, non-toxic materials and environmentally friendly processes, which minimizes their impact on the ecosystem. The researchers utilized the leaf from Laureliopsis philippiana to synthesize silver and palladium nanoparticles and studied their toxicity on mosquito larvae. The nanoparticles showed concentration-dependent larvicidal effects and were found to have negligible impact on zebrafish embryos. This research provides a sustainable and eco-friendly approach to vector control. [Extracted from the article]
