Abstract
- Researchers from Hawassa University in Ethiopia have conducted a systematic review of medicinal plants traditionally used to treat peptic ulcer disease in Ethiopia. The study synthesized evidence from various sources and found that several medicinal plants showed promising anti-ulcer properties in animal models. These plants include Indigofera spicata Forssk, Thymus schimperi, and Urtica simensis. The researchers suggest that further investigation is needed to identify the active pharmacological agents and evaluate the clinical efficacy of these plants for the treatment of peptic ulcers.
