The article focuses on the collaboration between Rayonier A.M. de Tartas, a bioraffinery in the Landes forest, and its use of a high-reactivity lime milk provided by Lhoist to neutralize acidic effluents. It is reported that Sodimate designed and constructed a storage, dosing, and injection system for this purpose. It offers an economical and environmentally beneficial alternative to caustic soda for effluent neutralization at the Tartas facility.
