Abstract
- Moab, UtahThe desert city of Moab, Utah, is located between two national parks. Arches National Park gets its name and landscape from more than 2,000 naturally formed red rock archways.Canyonlands National Park features giant rock formations and colorful canyons. These parks are an ideal home for nocturnal animals and hardy reptiles like lizards because the desert climate makes it too hot during the day for many animals to survive. Moab sits on a stretch of the Colorado River that has some of the most powerful whitewater rapids in the country. The area has about 10 species of lizards. [Extracted from the article]
