Abstract

A method is proposed for measuring the eccentricity of rotating shafts that connect electric motors to various energy transducers. A functional diagram is developed for a device permitting acoustic measurement of shaft eccentricity. The time for shaft compression and the shaft's torsional angles are determined in the cases of zero and maximum eccentricity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
