Abstract
- This document contains abstracts of presentations from the XXVIII Congress of the Italian Phytopathological Society. The presentations cover a wide range of topics related to plant pathology and microbiology, including the use of experimental evolution to select beneficial wound microbiomes, the application of commercial formulations and plant extracts to improve crop yield and quality, the control of various plant diseases, the importance of plant microbiomes in agriculture, the potential of bacterial strains as biological control agents, the genetic diversity of plant viruses, the use of organic fertilizers to control plant pathogens, the characteristics of newly recognized plant pathogens, the mycotoxigenic potential of Penicillium species, the diversity of Fusarium species and the contamination of mycotoxins in wheat, the detection and management of plant diseases, and the role of the microbiome in plant defense responses.
