Abstract

In this work, the nanocomposites consisting of polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl pyrrolidone as a matrix and yttrium oxide as a filler, which were investigated with different percentage of yttrium oxide (Y<subscript>2</subscript>O<subscript>3</subscript>) (0, 3, 6, 9, and 12) wt. %. The dielectric property was measuring in a range (100 Hz – 5 MHz) frequency at room temperature, that it decreases with increasing a frequency while increases with increasing the content yttrium oxide. Dielectric loss decreases with increasing the frequency and increase with increases yttrium oxide content. The electrical conductivity (A.C) of nanocomposites increases when the frequency of electrical field applied and content of yttrium oxide (Y<subscript>2</subscript>O<subscript>3</subscript>) increases.
