Abstract
- Aline Knowles and her partner, Ross, have transformed their 1960s modernist house in southwest London into a highly energy-efficient and sustainable home. Working with architect Richard Dudzicki, they upgraded the layout, combining rooms and creating a more logical flow. The house underwent extensive repairs to address air leakages, thermal bridges, and dampness, and high-performance triple-glazed doors and windows were installed. The renovation preserved the original 1960s look while incorporating modern technology to extend the building's lifespan. The house achieved Passivhaus certification and features exceptional insulation, airtight construction, and strategic solar gain. [Extracted from the article]
