Abstract

A recent study conducted in Dongguan, China, examined the incidence and risk factors of in-hospital prosthesis-related complications following total shoulder arthroplasty. The study analyzed a large-scale sample database and found that the overall incidence of complications was 1%, with a decrease over time. Dislocation was the most common complication. Risk factors for complications included younger age, female gender, certain comorbidities, and hospital location. The study emphasizes the importance of understanding these risk factors to improve management and outcomes for patients undergoing shoulder arthroplasty. [Extracted from the article]
