Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers from the Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences examined the impact of team-based primary care on medication-related outcomes in older adults in two Canadian provinces, Ontario and Quebec. The study analyzed administrative health data for older adults who were rostered with a family physician between 2001/02 and 2017/18. The researchers found that access to team-based primary care did not significantly improve medication management outcomes for older adults in either province. The study concluded that there was no evidence to suggest that team-based primary care had a meaningful impact on medication-related outcomes for older adults. [Extracted from the article]
