Abstract

The article presents a paper "Pemphigus Vulgaris: A Correlation of Clinical and Microscopic Observations," by Isadore Fisher. The author concludes that there is no correlation between clinical and histological diagnosis. There is no clear cut difference in the course or prognosis of cases showing intraepidermal (acantholytic) and subepidermal (non-acantholytic or tension) bullae. Both types of bullae may be found at different times in the same patient. All should be labeled "pemphigus" there is no call for a sub-class of" senile dermatitis herpetiformis" or " pemphigoid."
