Abstract

The article discusses the plan of procedure for the conduct of the research entitled "A Study of Two Levels of Bread Enrichment in Children's Diets." The orphanages were designated as Institutions I, II, III and IV which used different types of bread and different nutritional values. The foods were served plate style, so that all children within certain sex-age groups had the same quantities of their respective foods. Calculations were based on the weight of all raw foods, with aliquot parts of the total being given to various age ranges. Dietitians associated with the study supervised the dietary aspects of the investigation and kept periodic records of the exact amounts of foods consumed.
