Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers from DIT University in India explored the protein expression and bioinformatics of granulosa cells in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The study involved isolating cumulus granulosa cells (CGCs) and mural granulosa cells (MGCs) from the follicular fluid of both PCOS and non-PCOS patients undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF). The cells were then treated with dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS) and analyzed using mass spectrometry and bioinformatics tools. The study found significant differences in protein expression between normal and PCOS samples, as well as distinct pathways in DHEAS-treated samples. The researchers recommend further studies to identify PCOS biomarkers from granulosa cells expressed under the influence of DHEAS. [Extracted from the article]
