Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Washington University School of Medicine compared the effects of movement pattern training (MoveTrain) and standard strengthening/flexibility treatment on hip and pelvic biomechanics in patients with chronic hip-related groin pain. The study found that the MoveTrain group demonstrated smaller hip adduction angles and smaller hip external adduction moments compared to the standard group. These findings suggest that specific training techniques may be necessary to customize the rehabilitation of patients with hip pain. The research provides valuable insights for future clinical trials and the design of rehabilitation techniques for individuals with hip pain. [Extracted from the article]
