Abstract

Researchers from Henan University of Economics & Law in China have developed a new method for multi-attribute decision making in complex situations. Traditional methods assume perfect rationality, but this study acknowledges the limited rationality of decision makers and the use of multiple linguistic terms to describe preferences. The researchers propose a new correlation coefficient to measure the degree of correlation among probabilistic linguistic term sets and introduce the TODIM method, which considers the psychological behavior of decision makers. The method was validated through an empirical analysis of four internet listed companies in China. The findings provide an important approach for future multi-attribute decision making problems.
