Abstract

Researchers from the University of Liege have developed a computational model called COMMBINI to study the early stages of bone fracture healing. The model simulates the behavior of immune cells, inflammatory cytokines, and fracture debris, allowing for a better understanding of the complex interactions that occur during the inflammatory stage of healing. The researchers used an in silico immunofluorescence method to calibrate the model and validate its accuracy. The COMMBINI platform has the potential to contribute to the development of novel treatment strategies for bone regeneration. [Extracted from the article]
