Abstract

The impact of the pandemic COVID 19, is being felt by the whole world and in all the facets of life. No single country or industry has been exempted from its affects. As per the WHO guidelines, social distancing was mandated and as a result lockdown was enforced in India for the sake of public wellbeing. None are certain about how long the pandemic impact will last on the global economy. Though work from home is not new to the IT sector, it is a very new thing for a lot many organizations which never had been a part of their culture. With the closure of schools and day care centers, working parents are encountering unprecedented situations which are resulting in stress. With all types of employees working in an entirely new environment, this paper attempts to identify if the job role and family are conflicting with each other while working at home and if the wide usage of ICT is resulting in stress. It also tries to identify whether the stress caused due to work family conflict and family work conflict is showing any influence on productivity of the employee during the pandemic.
