Abstract

This letter to the editor responds to a research article on the use of thiopental and decompressive craniectomy as last-tier treatments for elevated intracranial pressure in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. The author raises several concerns about potential biases and limitations in the study. These include a lack of information about the location of bleeding before admission, potential variations in the effect of thiopental on different treatments, an unintentional gender bias in the participant selection, and a lack of information on comorbidities and potential confounding factors. The author suggests that addressing these concerns in future studies would enhance the credibility of the findings and contribute to a better understanding of the topic. [Extracted from the article]
