Abstract

Brakes are an important safety feature of vehicles. The materials of which the friction elements are made pose some risk to the environment. This can be a case during manufacture, operation and disposal. Any step to improve the ecology deserves thorough examination and possible introduction into production. For this reason, it has been decided to investigate whether it is possible to replace aramid with another material that is already present in its composition.
