Abstract
- The article discusses the 1996 Honda NSX-R, which was the first Honda Type R model. The NSX-R was designed to improve the car's performance on the track by reducing weight, stiffening the suspension, and making other modifications. Changes included replacing the seats with carbon-Kevlar bucket seats, trimming the dash with Alcantara, and reducing sound deadening. The NSX-R also had a higher power output, improved acceleration, and enhanced handling characteristics. Chassis 0458, one of 483 built, is currently available for sale in the USA in its original condition. [Extracted from the article]
