Abstract
- A study conducted by researchers at the National Institute of Technology Srinagar in Jammu Kashmir, India, focused on the structural and photoluminescent properties of Gd3+-doped barium aluminate phosphor. The researchers synthesized the phosphor using a solid-state technique and confirmed its hexagonal structure through X-ray powder diffraction. They also analyzed the shape, distribution, and agglomeration of the samples using scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The study found that the phosphor exhibited a strong emission peak in the Ultraviolet-B wavelength range, which could potentially be used for phototherapy to treat skin problems. The research was funded by various organizations, including the Department of Science & Technology in India and the National Research Foundation in South Africa. [Extracted from the article]
