Abstract
- A study conducted by Aix-Marseille University in Marseille, France aimed to determine the 30-day mortality rate and risk factors associated with death after renal trauma. The study analyzed data from 1,799 cases of renal trauma over a 10-year period and found a 30-day mortality rate of 3.27%. The study identified several factors that were independent predictors of death, including age over 40, hemodynamic instability, anemia, bilateral renal trauma, arterial contrast extravasation, and concomitant visceral and bone injuries. The findings of this study can help clinicians identify high-risk patients. [Extracted from the article]
